Well! Here goes:

1. My original idea was to lock her in my room & not let her have access to the balcony or the front door. In addition, I bought $150 worth of toys & frozen kongs & put on “TV for dogs”
For 8 hours. I figured this would make her hear less stimulation, but she still barked. I got a post-it note from my neighbor once I got home.

2. SO NOW, I am using a bark collar (temporarily) which gives her a tiny shock if she barks. I tested out on myself & it’s a small jolt, nothing major at alll, and I started that this morning & it’s been good.

3. Obviously, though, I hate using negative reinforcement. So in addition to bark collar, I’m giving her treats each time she doesn’t bark on the balcony or when I leave the apartment. We’ve been doing this for 2 hrs straight now & it’s been going real good. I doubt I’ll have to use that bark collar for long thank GOD!!!
