Yeah I think that we both agree on like 95% especially the fact that even though he's always been religious him reinforcing his faith these past few years seems to be more about trying to find a point in life that could ground him when everything around him seems to be moving at a speed he obviously doesn't like.
But where I disagree is about the idea that he's 100% going to move from it like it was just an episode or something cause even though the whole thing might be a phase in his life I could also legitimately see him settle into it for a long time
True
As I said in my post above I could see now how he could balance this thing out for the next couple years end eventually and up in a place where he is obviously religious but it's not as "out there" as the JIK era

Yeah exactly I already feel like Donda isn't as religious as JIK was so he's obviously looking for balance which is great from a non christian listener pov tbh
It didn't happen overnight
And what's so extra about this song and video?
Maybe misinterpret the lyrics but starting a song with words "he's done miracles on me" and then following up by images of ascending (as in ascending into heavens) seems like he's trying very hard to tell the world "look how hard I'm guided by the God!"

idk how you came up with this summary.
For much of the album he talks about being renewed and at points mentions dying in order to see his mom again
in the video he's symbolically at the end of his life being raised near visuals of his mother....but does not make it because "God's not finished"
like its pretty straightforward to me at least
Cant believe they’re not pushing “Believe What I Say”, „hurricane“ or “Pure Souls“, considering they have the biggest hit potential.
