e tWhen you have 808s and Yeezus to compare to though, it knocks this s*** down from a critical standpoint. I feel like JIK got higher reviews strictly because of cohesiveness because it’s objectively a much worse album to anyone with ears.

Aug 31, 2021e tI love the album, it’s a personal 10/10 for me but I could see how from a critics perspective it would be shat on. God Breathed, Junya, 24 and Off the Grid, for example, are all so different from each other that the album loses cohesiveness and flow.
In LP2, those different vibes were placed in so balanced way, that made album sound so f***ing diverse, with such a variety rollercoaster.
Then all of a sudden Kanye decided to put all the abrasive sounding upfront, and after the middle he just keeps messing around the vibe by putting 24 which is one of the serious and holy sounding record and Remote Control which is the most witty goofy in a good way fun track together, and then moon and heaven and hell together, then again putting New Again and Tell the Vision together lol.
