Oct 4, 2022The organization that swindled money and lied to people was indeed a scam. The movement however is legitimate. I think the real question here is whether Ye is making that distinction because if he’s calling the whole thing a scam then he’s more of an idiot than I thought.

I feel like something as big as that could never just be boiled down to a scam, it's not that simple.
They were real people out there fighting and protesting. That shouldn't change just because biden is funding police now or that they never got defunded.

Might be a bit controversial at first, but nothing in this country really changed since the George Floyd protests in 2020.
The police were never really restructured or defunded in anyway. In fact, they got more money.
The politicians seemed to have just used it for votes.
Hell, even Biden is pushing for more money for police now.
Edit: just to be clear, I do support the BLM movement. But my point is that it hasn’t been a successful movement yet, and many politicians co-opted BLM for votes while not doing anything.
It was a scam because things are the same? That’s ridiculous. You think Revolution is a one time event where people go out a couple times to protest and a system of oppression that’s been in place for decades goes away? Be serious.
