Yeah they have invested in order to dominate the market once the switch is inevitable. Real incentive would be the possibility to recoup costs of cutting current operations while maintaining their profit. That however is not feasible and is the only reason companies are stalling the change. They’d rather run the earth into the ground than lose out on profits.

i like AOC. she's smarter at communicating with a larger demographic than other left politicians. bernie was good at that too a lot of the time. too many left politicians see the left's momentum then think it means they can do whatever they want and be themselves rather than protecting it by being strategic about what issues they really wanna use their political capital on.

aoc seems like she could bring political strategy and a considered approach to a left presidential campaign without scaring off potential allies.

but i can also see how she has some vulnerabilities that could help her opponents. when you're a left politician it's a tough balance. i think you wanna sometimes take things slowly so you can bring people with you, and build up your case over time. but you also don't want to be too slow and as a result compromise yourself too much and concede part of the debate to your opponents
