theDonandOnlyyeah on songs like Cudi Montage, Reborn or 4th Dimension it sounds like it could any era of Kanye rapping. Idk why he's vocals are so shaky when he comes through on random songs. Like he comes through properly on follow god or i love it but then not on other songs recorded at the same time. maybe he doesn't wanna do as many takes or take the time to get it right like he used to or something.
I like JiK tbh but obviously the content is one note. which shows how he's lacking some of the vision he used to have, as varied content was one of his selling points for years. wash us in the blood does have a more varied perspective so maybe that's what we'll get from God's Country, which has me more excited. the music on jik sounded like classic kanye to me which as a fan i did enjoy
I feel like ye was his lowest point musically, but right next to Daytona and those KSG highlights it showed he could still deliver. i love him on wouldn't leave and violent crimes too. some songs on ye would have been masterpieces tho if the old ye had touched them. like i thought about killing you, parts of that are amazing and other moments fall apart imo.
I agree w basically all of this but I like ye more than JiK
A lot of ye is not objectively what I like or want from Kanye but something about the texture and color of that album is very compelling to me

2020 election sucks
Nothing’s gonna change that
But America is as left and open to the left as its ever been
Young people care about politics more than they have in a long time and are overwhelmingly progressive
Minorities are gaining more voting power
Felons are starting to gain voting power
There’s more and more distrust and criticism of the system
There’s more and more progressive ideas on the table being discussed and debated even if there isn’t a nominated candidate with those ideals yetIt may suck now but it’s on the up
bernie most successful candidate of his type in the dem party ever, he deserves credit for that. he might be seen as the one who opened the door or shifted some of the platform at least. hope he's more than a blip whatever happens
it feels like he's made more of an impact than jesse jackson did so i'm hoping it doesn't take as long to get a serious left contender again as it did between jesse and ye.
warren, altho some of her approach does annoy me, was also running on a left platform and fell apart towards the end, but did create real traction at parts of the primary too.
the left is way stronger than it's been in decades

Honestly I was down for this but nah
He’s not ok and we shouldn’t be celebrating it
He also really absolutely does not need to do well in this election
He needs to lose and get a reality check and take some time to understand that he can’t decide to be president two months before an election and genuinely believe it’s gonna happen
