Cmon man. I think you are severely underestimating the intelligence of Eastern Europeans. Americans are not the only ones on the planet who know what black face and it’s historical meaning. They have the internet just like us, use Twitter just like us, and have read the same outrage we put out on this thing.
Eastern Europeans aren’t just innocent little babies that just woke up today and thought it would be a neat idea to paint their faces black for a performance… which was never necessary to begin with. They get the idea from somewhere.

e tIt’s a show about impersonating an artist the best and the greatest artists of all time are all black. Should have scrapped the entire show concept tbh but it doesn’t seem like their intention is mockery at least. In the US, most racists are racist because they grew up hearing their parents being racist or are just idiots. Still bad, but the views are somewhat malleable in comparison to Europe. In Europe they have these centuries of ethnic and racial superiority doctrines that served as the cradle for white supremacy that were born out of the European continent and the bogus "race science" theories that, while patently debunked over a century ago, still inform much of the thinking of the right-wing in Europe that has rapidly been growing since at least the end of the Cold War.
And as you said, the glaring majority of Europe is white and this is where white people are from, so their tolerance for non-white viewpoints and amplification of non-white voices is slim to none, letting a lot of this s*** pass largely unabated.
American racism is bad but it's not really backed by anything other than ignorance and greed. In Europe there's a dimension of reasoning that goes behind racism in the continent that is rooted in pseudoscience and cultural philosophy that goes back centuries. It's a terrifying place and I truly have no desire to go there.

I actually seen this video of this black girl in Italy,I guess she was just making videos with her friends at night,and this random old man just walks up and starts complimenting them outta nowhere,when she walks away,he's like "where are you going".
Some people in the comments were flattered by it but alot of them seen it as creepy,its like ole dude knew he had the advantage. Europe is definitely an "out of bounds" type place for black folks.

Or rather, since until recently, the black population here was always pretty much zero, there is no social context for this to be considered racist by most. Black people were never a part of life here.
Take Sinatra or Beyonce, to most people here, there is no real difference, both are just imported monolithic american stars from hollywood land. They both dont even seem real. So thats how the producers of the show see it probably.
The internet exists, but most people here dont even come in contact with african culture on the internet, so that means they are never gonna educate themself on blackface or anything like that.
That said, you could label a lot of very different countries as eastern european, but they are not all alike.

The US has actually done a great job at modernizing racism well before Trump tbh. US foreign policy of "spreading democracy" and providing "aid" for the "third world" is just a modernized version of classic European colonialism. Europe did a better job at modernizing racism domestically but ever since Jimmy Carter the US has been perfecting racism at the imperial level

Also since Im a ktt user I don't go outside much, but everytime I do go outside, I learn people are a lot more racist than I thought. Had random people in clubs start telling me about how "these black people are coming here to steal our women".
