the statistics on that don't line up though, only like 5% of rape cases brought to court come out as false

you can say there's something wrong with cancel culture but saying that "men are going to prison" for false accusations is a stretch

I mean the circumstances of police brutality are much different even though I did initially compare them. It’s much easier to point to the obscene amounts of police brutality than people guilty of sexual assault because it’s not like people carry around their phone anytime a man approaches them in spaces to record them like a lot of black people do now to make sure that they can record cops in these scenarios. So how else do you talk about these issues?

Idk if you know anyone in real life who has been sexually assaulted or raped, but I do and I can tell you that often times these women do not have the opportunity to speak out because no one believes them. Obviously anecdotal but I think there is overwhelming evidence to prove this.

I also don’t really get why the last part needs to be said. We all f***ing know that there needs to be a basic minimum level to this s***. But it’s funny how this conversation always shifts in that direction whenever these things are mentioned. It’s literally like “I get what you’re saying BUT...” and it makes it sound like you’re ready to just toss away the accusations as false because the one time where someone abused it and got away with it invalidates the countless times where the other side lies and gets away with it.
