yeah it probably depends on hotel policy whether they archive it or just keep deleting

But yeah she easily could have gone to the hotel and asked for footage around the time this happened and then used it

    He’s right

It’s too much data to keep

How is this thread even worse? Some of you need to log off and pollute reddit with this false accusation trash

now if this is like some historic museum in DC then sure, they might have some footage from 6 years ago.

but even then, are people really paying thousands to secure *useless data from years ago?

    Synopsis

If only 2-10% of all cases are false accusations then the ones that dont gain ground are even less so and even then, if they dont gain ground or get to court, why does it matter?

It matters because a growing number of the population don’t require a court trial to prosecute someone in the court of public opinion

Because even if it doesn't go to court, it can have actual effect on the accused. Do you work or haven't you ever seen this at school.
Like teachers specifically (because dealing with minors) get demonized, fired before investigations started etc. There have been cases with protests in front of the school because parents get emotional and riled up before looking at actual evidence. How do you recover from everyone at your work place looking at you like a child molester and losing your job arbitrarily.

& saying that false accusation represent a smaller percentage in cases that don’t gain ground than cases that get taken to court is ridiculous

yeah honestly this has happened to a mutual friend of mine

they didn't even have any form of sexual contact with each other, she just accused him of sexual assault when it never happened, she eventually backed down because she was lying, she's a known pathological liar

it really messes up your perspective on when somebody accuses someone of sexually assaulting someone else, my first gut instinct is to be skeptical and look at onhand evidence first

Mind you, would I have the same reaction if this girl were somebody I knew well and cared for? idk

Heard about this happening in high school. Even worse, the accuser was a "good friend" of the accused's gf.

Saw this happen in college. My boy was getting attention he didn't want from this girl but she kept pestering him until she got fed up and started telling people he molested her. Bruh had the text messages of her explicitly saying stuff to the effect of "I'm going to ruin your life" and s*** like that

There needs to be some middle ground between "Believe women, PERIODT" and "Victim-blaming"

Matters because this kind of s*** destroys a person image and even when they’re falsely acusase they still have that looming over their life regardless. The s*** is not cool.

Name a time it has happened

if it turns out to be true, Bieber will face criminal charges

if its fake. find the girl who made that fake account and press charges so this s*** stops happening.

making fake accusations is terrible for both girls who have actually been abused and innocent men who's lives get ruined.

We may as well say you’re one of those people that think all men are trash and probably one of those soyboys that get offended whenever men make jokes about women

  • Jun 21, 2020

I bet they have hotel people reviewing this footage as well

P sure a gang rape caught on camera would get attention

Actually going public in this way is safer for the accuser because if something happens to them there’s proof that can’t be tucked away in an officers file cabinet

Plain crashes do not happen that much still people fear them.
people create thought patterns based on what they know and fear not statistics. Not everyone is privy to that information.

It could happen to a friend they know and change their perception on the matter for good. Sadly most men (especially in the workplace) exchange their stories ("this female co-worker almost got me fired by telling the boss I'm a creep" type of situations). True or not, the listener feels like this can happen to them too.

Just look at how Emmet till sparked a whole Civil rights movement and till this day there's a mistrust towards white women when it's comes to them dealing with black men (idk the statistics on how many white women falsely accuse black men of SA/rape/abuse but I'm willing to bet that's it's a small minority too)

Uh yeah it's almost as if the case of emmet till (literally falsely accused of whistling at a white womam) and the case of random celeb being accused of SA by random woman on Twitter with 500 followers isnt exactly a good comparison for multiple reasons

I keep seeing people be like “why are you defending an alleged rapist” treating it like “yeah he did that s***, I don’t need evidence”
I wonder how they would feel if someone lied on them like that, would they feel the same
