plus one of Spidey's most defining characteristics was that he was a teenager that wasn't a sidekick and was without a mentor.

He wasn't some alien physical god like Superman or a billionaire with access to countless resources like Wayne. Making Iron Man his big homie out the gate removes that underdog factor which makes Spidey appealing.

Also the MCU Spidey films didn't need to show Uncle Ben dying again but I feel like Ben isn't that much of a factor as to why Spidey does what he does in comparison to Tony, y'know? Like he gets mentioned and stuff but idk.

And yea you can argue Peter's the one that overcomes the problem but his problems are usually connected to someone having a grudge against Tony or something

also the underdog factor is literally within his arcs, he’s a 15 year old kid having to measure up with some of the toughest challenges for his age.

He didn’t have Tony help him fight Vulture, he didn’t have a avenger to help him against Mysterio

Uncle Ben is also there in spirit, we can already gauge why Peter does what he does... it’s like seeing Batman’s parents die over and over. We get it. Idk doesn’t seem necessary at all

And even if we want to get into his arcs his arcs usually revolve around cleaning up a mess his big homie made. It's linked to Iron Man, if you go and peep Cap's stories or Iron Man's stories in the MCU or even Thor (and i hate his movies) they are the driving force in their own stories bruv

Again I never said Ben had to die on screen but he is not as huge a factor in MCU's Peter as Iron man is.
