I’m not that big into Green Lantern lore so I don’t know which Is the first one. I wanna get to know the character though. Any animated movies you guys can recommend?
Green Lantern First Flight is a good Hal Jordan focused movie. The Justice League and Justice League Unlimited animated series is a great focus on John Stewart
That scene alone made BVS a 2/10
And the part at 0:34 on this soundtrack pushes the score right back up

Superman can’t be emo or humanized but also Superman is a trash overpowered boy scout superhero
I think it's because niggas are cynical now. Niggas have become Lex Luthor. Had someone at school tell me Homelander is a more realistic version of Superman.
Like nigga to who? For you? People are cynical and project that. It's easier to see the worst in people and in things for some folk. And it's not even just Superman. Some of the same people don't rock with Cap or any morally just character

The soundtrack for the film is fire

Homelander and the boys
not really. superman is pretty interesting. most heroes they are a person like peter parker or bruce wayne who puts on a costume. for superman, clark kent is the costume. he is unique and in the history of his comics there have been a bunch of really great stories.
Meh I mean not really. He grew up as Clark Kent and has even stated that he is Clark Kent and if he were Superman all the time he'd go crazy. Maybe at the daily planet he is putting on a show a bit but he is Clark
The problem is with people thinking Superman needs to be one extreme or the other. I swear we all overthink Superman so much
He just has to be a down to earth guy who does the right thing and cares about helping people, it’s that simple.

he is literally an alien from the planet krypton called kal el buddy

Tell you the truth most of my GL knowledge comes from Justice League Unlimited.

This just isn't very interesting though.
It's what you said,
Simple.

The Flash warning Bruce was hard. Him saying she's the key is the part I aint like
Do zoomers even care about Reeve Superman like that?
I was gonna say, they can't hate what they haven't seen
The Flash warning Bruce was hard. Him saying she's the key is the part I aint like
oh yeah him coming to warn Bruce was cool until he said that.
I just shook my f***ing head dude
he is literally an alien from the planet krypton called kal el buddy
my guy he grew up raised by humans. Clark Kent is not a costume

"top level creative decision making"
the same ppl that supposedly value artistic direction undercut it for the executives. Some of these critics are actually batshit cuz the cognitive dissonance is real.
Homelander and the boys
I like the show but the worlds obsession with evil superman is telling.

Cap is what i always picture Superman should be somewhat similar to.
I actually think this might not see a big score drop like yall are thinking. It seems a lot of the hate is coming from the big publications. Many of the comic book oriented sites and smaller reviewers are praising this.
Wonder Woman appearing in BvS is still one of my favorite CBM moments
The score is a huge part of that
This just isn't very interesting though.
It's what you said,
Simple.
So all the great Superman stories where he’s exactly that isn’t interesting?
Seeing a simple guy be philosophically challenged by people like Lex Luther and the grey world around him that tests his morality is very interesting, not to mention how such a guy affects the world around him
He doesn’t have to be extreme to achieve this
Woman is mad
Its hilarious how some critics are actually mad about fans influencing creative decision making but are fine with corporations just making the same movie over and over because they know it makes money.
I think fandom influencing creative decision making would've been a terrible idea back in the 80s or 00s when creatives still got to make movies, but now that creativity is dead in Hollywood, I would take fandoms opinions anyday over corporations.
But also this take is just stupid because every corporation listens to fans online and decide to greenlight movies based on that. Thats why s*** like Detective Pikachu gets made. Only difference here is that the fandom revolved around a filmmaker rather than a brand for once.
