Snyder said he only filmed about 5 min worth of new scenes. They weren't reshoots it was additional footage. The rest is from 2016 and most of which we haven't seen

Batman cinematically has a crazy uphill battle. TDK is most casuals favorite superhero flick. Even those weirdos who say "i don't like capeshit but I love TDK" can't see anything beyond that version of Batman and the Joker especially given Heaths performance and death. Even though at times Bales Bamtan is dry compared to JLU/BTAS Batman, niggas would never say "some new batman movie" is better than TDK. Even if it was way better.
