No worries, but yes it does but the basis for it is highly speculative since it wasn’t explored that much.
You think its the kind of thing where the anime might expand on it in their own way? They put a good amount of focus on it in the ep and I don't remember knowing about that (as basically a non-reader)

Imo it’s one of those story beats better left unanswered because it’s not that important and allows for a wider interpretation. One of those interpretations goes back to S1. A big point of the show is bucking the old system. Which is why Gojo became a teacher to guide the next generation and not just kill the ppl in power.
The reason Gojo came to this conclusion talking to the principal of Jujutsu High (a mouthpiece for the conservative, high-ranking officials) is because his students, his teacher and even his own unconventional powers was a threat to the Jujutsu world order. It was mentioned during Hakari’s introduction episodes that the reason he left the school was because his unconventional powers met a lot of resistance to a system that favors traditional powers like Kugisaki’s. Gojo’s own teacher got executed because he had powers to create an army of potential special grades puppets.Yuji a sorcerer who inhabited Sukuna was scheduled to be executed. Additionally, as we learned this season, was also planned to be a vessel born out an experiment between a cursed spirit and a human resulting in inhuman levels of durability. Maki, Mai (even worse for being women) and Toji also had to deal with this system to which Maki’s solution (beast mode) was the opposite of Gojo’s. Lastly, Yuta himself is dubbed as “second to Gojo in unusual abilities” which at the start had him getting ready to be executed too lol smh. Ironically, the outcasts of the system is the ones one the frontlines saving it.
Another interpretation of this is due to Sukuna’s emergence through the cursed objects spawned stronger cursed spirits, which in turn had to create stronger sorcerers to balance things out.

Basado .. I do feel like there's a difference between leaving things unanswered and just straight up not shining a light on stuff, because I recognized some of these things because they've been shown once or twice but I don't think the anime goes out of the way to reinforce these motifs in a more direct manner. (Not extremely familiar with the manga yet)
Like sure, you could a***yze the techniques/fighting styles of....say yuta vs these older spirits and come to similar conclusions about the differing reasons they're fighting, end goals, how their power is expressed, etc.
But I don't think that that is enough to carry the throughline of what, to me, seems like the actual backbone of the story
I love this show, easily my favorite mainstream joint by far, and I love the "moment to moment" almost realtime aspects of it, where there's relentless pacing because it cycles between a bunch of ppl fighting for their f***ing lives simultaneously. Idk, a very unique combo of very deep strengths and relatively light weaknesses overall
I love ryu's desert theme being so emphasized and the cuts to actual desert being consumed during the climax because this episode and everything about it felt like desert for the viewers after such an amazing season of high quality animation
so tuff
yuta gets mega b\*\*\*\*ed by sukuna btw
no tf he doesnt, yuta was doin what he needed to do megumi was the one that sold that s\*\*\*
This anime is what people think demon slayer anime adaptation is. Genuine jawdropper, thankful this adaptation exists

Uro the baddest

Ngl, only reason I’m fine with Gojo vs Sukuna not being animated until 2030 is because the next DS movie is around the corner and will drop a close equivalent.

2030???!?!?!?!?
Does MAPPA explicitly calling it "season 4" mean it's not a "cour" or something? Does that imply it'll take longer

It’s most likely not coming out until next year. But it may be as early as January

Part 2 is crazier and requires more time to make sure it is quality. Also think losing Gosso affected production time a bit.
JJK as an anime isn’t concluding until after 2032-2034 if we are including modulo lol
Now we have season 4 for 2027
Potentially a movie which could be 2029-2030.
Then season 5 which might be 2032
Then modulo which may be 2034.
That’s just estimates on my end based on how long seasons take to make. Also could be more spin offs in that time frame lol
Yuta f***ing sucks. No character having, Mary sue, writer’s pet ass roach kisser. No calories, no development, fan fiction ass character

It most likely will be a cour considering it’s a continuation of the arc dubbed as “The Culling Game Part 2”. I’d bet it’ll take a while because local broadcasting news said their slots are filled until 2027 and MAPPA wants to avoid the S2 production debacle. Gosso’s supposed departure might also play a part.
The collective “ayoo” from some reactors to this scene was very funny
S*** wild lol
