they certainly manipulated Bill to an extent especially considering his age but at the same time he seemed to show a lot of sociopathic tendencies...like he legit believed he was a benefit to the cause while also being its downfall...you see it in that real life interview clip where he's trying to defend his bullshit as "well at least I did SOMETHING"...all those little moments where he talks big and then scoffs and laughs it off when he's away from the others...the way he acted in the fancy restaurant...at the same time it obviously ate away at him...either that or dude just wasn't well mentally bc he killed himself right after doing that interview...you can see the shame in his eyes even if his words are defending what he did
