Most artists play their own instruments which is producing out of their own creativity and requires a level of skill that sampling simply does not
Also any artist who’s singing is using an instrument as well... no auto tune.
His singing is auto tune.. his raps are written by someone else
His production is sampled.
He’s not the GOAT artist

VA7ado you think you just put a sample into Garageband then rap on it? Do you seriously think sampling requires no skill?
It requires vastly less skill than actually creating and playing the instruments that the samples encompass

StardustDilla is probably even a better example than kanye to why using samples takes as much skill, talent, ear and originality as playing any instrument
Dilla's abilities are above and beyond anything instrumentalists get praised for.

Does Sadé have more musical merit than Kanye? Are they on par?
Sadé is a vocalist; but rappers are also vocalists—in they combine prose, poetry and singing. Sadé writes with help; Kanye writes with help. Sadé cannot play any musical instruments; Kanye can and is a proven producer and arranger.
We have no problem saying Sadé is great—not great at what she does but simply great. Why is this not extended to Kanye?
