paQlBQYour #2 is a big stretch to me. I think JP gets some similar benefit of the doubt interpretations ala Kdot.
#7 JP made the decision to divide the film. He can have whatever reasoning in the world for it. Doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Dude they talk about him being an animal and not a ship many times. The title card is just repetitive information.

I’m not LP. The shoe standing up isn’t ruining the movie for me, which I liked btw. What I am is a filmmaker who will look and listen to everything in a two hour movie that took two years to make.

SIGHI enjoyed it but there were some ? Moments. Most have already been mentioned here.
Random event where power goes out, screeching is heard from the sky and random items fall from the sky with enough force to kill your father with a coin.
So the next time the power goes out and you hear screeching in the sky… you aren’t scared s***less of random stuff falling from the sky and killing you??? No one seemed to be worried about being killed like the father.The Alien dropping items in the first scene from high up had enough force to go thru a mans skull - which makes sense.
But later when the alien is DIRECTLY above the house, letting the blood rain down, the coins and keys still seem to be traveling fast enough to stab thru the porch? My gf said maybe the alien farts them out with extreme speed.Overall I liked it better than Us tho.

You’re right, but Logan was asking why no one was curious how a quarter & a key fell from the sky and struck a man & a horse. At the beginning, during the film set scene, one of the people says they ruled it as airplane debris

AvaI like that the message of the movie is predators cannot be tamed. Wether it was the horses being territorial or freaking out on set, Gordy attacking the actors on set and finally the alien killing Ricky. All were used for entertainment too.
idk if it's that simple, I think there's definitely more nuance to it. like Horses aren't exactly predators, chimps aren't really thought of as predators either.
I think a more accurate breakdown of the theme is that u cant turn everything into entertainment. They try to turn the chimp into entertainment for profit, and that massively backfires. They try to turn the horses into entertainment for profit and they go nuts on set. They try to turn the aliens into entertainment for profit, and obviously that goes horribly. Rather than taming predators, I think the real theme is "don't try turning real s\*\*\* into entertainment just for some money"
what's rlly interesting to me tho is u could 100% argue that s*** like get out is using the very real black struggle for entertainment and profit, in other words jordan peele himself turned some real s*** into entertainment for some money.
