EinfinetI really love how this movie took the alien genre as an occasion to reflect on human-animal relations. I wasn’t expecting it at all and it feels like a delightful curveball to move from Peele’s previous projects. I’m not sure how it compares in quality to the previous films but it’s certainly good enough to stand as another satisfying addition to his catalog.
The pivotal ‘eating’ scene also stands out to me as one of the more effectively disturbing scenes found in a recent blockbuster.

Goddamn what a satisfying third act fr. That Peele is able to end the film with a two second clip of a black man on a horse is such a thematically deft callback I had to applaud
Gotta see this in imax, the first half especially is playing with size and scale so f***ing well

It's an art movie if you want it to be, it's a legit blockbuster if that's what you want out of it, the comedy and the horror both work - thats nuts
