Oscar WinnerWell I mean you have your obvious people such as Nolan, Tarantino, Scorsese, Spielberg, Cameron. Greta Gerwig now cus of Barbie. I’d like to consider Kathryn Bigelow and Chloe.
Not to sound “woke” but when it comes to success or numbers I don’t think black directors or POC and females should be to the same standard as white male directors. This use to be a white mans sport for years and years which is now slowly turning.

I would agree on the first five names obviously
Gerwig I think is in a similar spot as Peele to me, if not a little higher
I wouldn’t say Bigelow is A-List commercially at the moment
And Zhao I think is on her way

There’s slop in every genre. I think boiling down an entire genre to “superhero slop” is unfair
These movies are gonna get made anyway, I’d rather see a talented director & writer take a stab at it than another studio director
