. So of course I am going to believe the person with a high paying lawyer more than the person I haven't even heard from. Like we are getting all information about the case from his lawyer. There is no way to even officially see if the victim has recanted yet or anything from her side.

I am saying in general though EVEN if it was physical a victim can't really come forward years later and be like "I was inspired to come forward by this person who recanted their statements in a day". I am not saying whether it was true or not I am saying the general statue of limitations for domestic abuse doesn't help them in this situation so there is no way to fully know.
