this if anything is how you know todd phillps is ass cause you have one of the greatest actors and a 200$ million budget at your disposal and you can’t even make that s*** WATCHABLE?

FACTS! All the parts that are watchable have nothing to do with Todd

There is virtually no reason to see this movie.

If you liked Joker 1, you’ll be disappointed.

If you didn’t like Joker 1, you’ll hate this.

If you like the character of Joker, you’ll be bored out of your mind.

If you don’t like the character of Joker, there isn’t anything that this movie will do to change your mind.

If you like musicals, you’ll be annoyed with how inconsistent and random the musical elements are.

If you don’t like musicals, you’ll be annoyed when a character randomly starts singing every five minutes.

If you like big budget blockbusters, you will fall asleep halfway through this movie.

If you like arthouse films, you will spend this movie’s runtime thinking of more interesting films you could be watching.

Literally who is the audience for this movie man

As a fellow detah stranding enjoyer, how could you let reviews deter your enjoyment?

Forgive me I wasn’t crazy about the first Joker. It’s a ripoff of Taxi Driver and The King Of Comedy so I wasn’t expecting much coming into this

That’s the best way to describe this movie.

    It’s not great.

    It’s not good.

    It’s not even totally bad.

It’s just a complete waste of time

Because the ending was something that was theorized all the way since 2019 after the first film came out. Just completely obvious, predictable, and amateurish honestly

The dude at the end is essentially who would end up becoming the “real” Joker in this universe. Some people theorized that it was the origin for Ledger’s Joker, but that theory makes zero sense because the timelines don’t match at all

It just completely goes against the ethos of the character. The Joker is not supposed to be some copycat villain or inspired by anything before him. His whole shtick is that he’s a criminally insane nutjob who at his core is just an agent of chaos, there was not really one thing that inspired him to be that or become that. The character is supposed to be a complete mystery

  • Oct 5, 2024

ending very much gives inspire the next school shooter vibes. Like he killed to protect himself and fight against bullies he faced in both movies but the framing of it lead to someone who kills for fun

Oh damn I didn’t even catch that. So Arthur was being literal when he said “I’m not the joker”? Yeah I never heard of those theories before tbh or about there being a fake joker and heath Ledgers joker. Is the clue of that the way bruh was laughing in the end? Like I definitely thought “ok he’s tryna be like this nigga” but I didn’t think “oh that’s the Heath version of Joker”

  • You know this s*** ass because niggas ain’t even make a spoiler thread 😭

The reason people think that is because the inmate at the end started carving a smile into his face in the background in the last shot. That’s something that’s pretty unique to Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the character, most other iterations of the Joker don’t have that

let me do a little essay

So Movie 1 he first kills because he is picked on for being weird. He kills he feels some level of glee about finally not being the bigger person throughout the movie he begins to fight back against many of his bullies at time killing them. But it definitely drifts into unnecessary killing movie one. He kills people where some take it as a political statement they can attach to it but really he just likes the power of killing.

So they make him the joker a sadistic human being in their mind that is over the top and has a purpose behind his kills. When in reality its just personal its not politically charged its not calculated its just killing for him. This move from what I gather ( some was spoiled at work I wrok at a WB company) he says hey I am not the joker it wasnt political it was more self defense from being picked on ( think of a Rittenhouse inspiring a even more vehement bigot). Yes the original human is a killer who is killing people who feels they are ostracized by everyone but the killer inspired them is just trying to make a name for themselves and emulate because they know they get plastered on the news.

    very relevant photo

and one photo is my summary of thoughts on the movie

stop making mass shooters famous whether they are zany and shooting someone you want to die or not stop making them famous its dangerous because there is an addiction to fame

there is a rewriting of a human story so suddenly in your mind its romance you are singing you get the woman

but in reality you are a mass shooter or a killer or imitating the actions of your country and how it solves issues when it feels insecure as well

See I didn’t even peep that lmao I seen Art laying and I jumped on my phone to order my Uber. That’s crazy. But does Harvey Dent character not make sense either? I’m just confused on how Batman is a little boy but Harvey is a grown man when I thought they was all around the same age

to me its partially about the dangers of a character like the Joker himself existing and the need to make him more reprehensible less glorified less halloween costumes all of that

I dont think its meant to be a direct 1 to 1 of everything in Nolan movie or that its literally heath but it could be a joker or two behind him. I think the dent nod was really unnecessary

when a school shooter does it they tell you everything about their life including what they had for breakfast

the court case is watched by all as is his movie in this

the school shooter manifesto or not gains a fanbase as sad as that is.

this to me mirrors that in many ways

Because we dont need to know the school shooter name or habits

    dahmer need to be worshipped

women say "I would f*** ted bundy"

    like where is the sense

now i don’t even like the first joker but man what

The revisionist history is nuts. Even people who hated The first movie appreciated Joaquin Performance.

Bro smoked that role and he deserved that oscar that year imo.
