I just don’t like certain aspects of 5 that weigh very heavy to me (weak joestar, forgettable stand until the last couple episodes, horrid final boss battle)

6 is probably less enjoyable overall to many people but it excels at all those points except stone free is also kinda ass

If you give Jolyne a Bruno instead of Hermès, part 6 is by far and away the best to me, other than 3

I wouldn’t say directionless lol. He intentionally made a slice of life anime. And the villains that come along with that direction...all very free flowing
