This is not a film that gets anything visually from being presented like this - it’s weird

It was shot that way, most imax movies are shot that way. All Snyder did was present it in its original format instead of cropping the top and zooming in. it’s not some weird artistic choice. Batman v Superman would’ve looked the same way.
