He got his ass whooped in the flashback.

And all the knight mare stuff or whatever hasn’t technically happened.

It was all dream sequence s***.

He didn’t do anything in the film really canonically besides get his ass kicked and stand there...... so

even the Greek gods had to show up for what was a younger and less powerful version of himself

haven't necessarily explored his character intimately yet but the threat is def there i feel. especially since we know theres a timeline he wins, kills WW, Aquaman and controls Supe

The movie was shot in 4:3 so he would need to crop from the top and bottom to make it 16:9.
I read that the movie was specifically shot in 4:3 not cropped or anything

This why I hate these blanket statements without context

"He got his ass whooped" nigga he was literally a child and it took 3 armies and Greek Gods to stop him.

And the implied threat was there Steppenwolf was beating the dog s*** out of the league prior to Supes revival, imagine what Darkseid gonna do.

It was like watching Thanos at the end of Guardians, even tho he aint do nothing physically, you know s*** bout to go down

when you’re showing off darkseid for the first time in live action.

Even losing you kinda want more then him getting jumped by an army.

Dude took out one green lantern and some fodder.

Kinda expect more from one of the most powerful villains in comics.

I would have rather have had him stand around or sit like Thanos first appearance then to see him get f***ing b****ed out by characters i don’t even have any connection to on the screen.

him getting jumped by three different armies and a literal GOD before becoming the present day Darkseid just lets me know that the league got they work cut out for them

It just makes your big bad look like a b**** from my perspective.

I get the context and i know that by this point he is actually a huge threat but if this is his only appearance (if we don’t get anymore snyderverse movies) then man what a wack way to see this version of darkseid go.

like the average casual audience member would just question why they’re suppose to be afraid of someone who got their ass handed that badly

Would it have been possible for Snyder to just release the movie fullscreen?

Like this?

Or would that have been stretching the image still?

From what I heard he cut the sides to have it 4:3 so there's a lot of image we didn't see.

Funniest part about this post is that Darkseid was one of the most well received aspects of the movie and was trending the night it dropped
