flightsbookedI like Reasonable Doubt but I feel like it's an unfair comparison. The subject matter on each album is entirely different and even then, Drake gets unfair criticism imo regardless of whether he's venting (which people see as not being able to move on) or being braggadocious (to which people say they don't wanna see him 'act tough'). I thought the album was arguably his most mature and direct one yet

I meant Hov's and Drake's subject matter is different so it's an unfair comparison. Also it's clearly not the same as a More Life lol did you hear the album? Even aside from the talk about the beef and its fallout. And I still don't get why 'growth' is a prerequisite for a rapper. ICEMAN has imo some of his best rapping ever in terms of technicality, versatility, charisma, and focus

Iceman is leagues beyond MBDTF as a look into the mind of an MC. To me Kanye has never put out anything believable. Hov and Drake are very different but I think drakes vulnerability gets glossed over in these discussions. People focus on the vices and the women similar to how they said Hov was money cash hoes. But there’s a lot more than that in Drake’s raps.
