Literally every person who identifies as something you would consider different: “Hey these are my pronouns. Thanks”
Complete bullshit memes made by people that have never spoken or interacted w a nb/trans/etc person: “ATTACK HELICOPTER DID YOU JUST ASSUME MY GENDER XDDDDD????”
I most definitely look like a male and not once has anyone ever guessed that I was female. But if I was someone who mentally identified as female, I would have no right getting offended when people inevitably assume I’m male. Mfs can’t read my mind. Asinine mindset.
2012 was a different time. especially on the internet and before all the twitter keyboard warriors bs
yes we have heard how you used to call everyone the n word in cod lobbies in the past and how "everyone" used to be like that you don't have to remind us
Are u happy

It's improved my quality of life I'm every conceivable way and makes me happy to be here after struggling with dysphoria and depression for a decade post puberty, so I'm gonna say yeah.
man congrats then
Like I said I jus know the other side of it and people are promoting transitioning or chnging ur identity as the only way to deal with dysphoria
For me attempting to transition Definitely worsened things
Idol!!! Happy for Janelle. 🥳🥰
Hope that coming out will help her to embrace her identity the way Devonte Hynes and Frank Ocean did. Always knew she was different. Loving how all the people I've always looked up to and stanned are coming out.

But why be so forward

i didnt rly play cod i just used that as an example for online gaming culture.
but yea that was me back in the early 2010s
Your first sentence is indeed true (and really undeniable at this point). But you also have to keep in mind that a tiny fraction of the Western population have active social media accounts (despite it seeming like it's the majority). So if you're active on social media, then you're gonna notice that "change" exponentially compared to the (realistic) average.
But to your 2nd point: There's been very nonbinary-adjacent concepts floating around in mainstream pop-culture now for decades, and some of the prolific names that championed them also coincided with major social movements where non-hetero and genderqueer people were adamant about being recognized as such.
Though I'd agree with you that in recent years, the vocalization of this lifestyle has been growing louder and people in that group have gotten more comfortable with behaving that way — and naturally this produces some more aggressive members of the group that can't help themselves when it comes to wearing their pride on their sleeve.
Again though, this too can be reasonably explained, since "nonbinary" is a fairly new addition to the social lexicon. (It didn't even have a color/flag for LGBT pride until early last decade I believe.) The concept has been around, and prominent in certain progressive circles, since the early 90s — but back then it was typically referred to as "genderqueer", which ended up being co-opted and used as a kind of umbrella term, rather than the more specific definition allotted to "nonbinary". So with that group being so recently "officiated", it makes sense that they're also one of the groups trying to vocalize their lifestyle the hardest at the moment.
Overall, if that frustrates or annoys someone, it's honestly and easy thing to just ignore and not engage with if you're not interested in it. If I'm a gay man, who can not only doesn't let themself wrapped up in drama around current gender-politics, but also doesn't pay attention to the gay culture I actually belong to — then I imagine it's even easier for someone outside of that subculture to not let it get to them either
it was cooler when they called it "androgynous"
I was a KTT mod in 2012 and that was way more f***ed up for me than being trans lmao

because one day i will have a son or daughter and id rather them not have to go through any discrimination or bigotry.

In real life these people just simply correct you. 99.9% of them do not make any type of scene or anything because guess what, they probably have to do it a dozen times a day. You are speaking on something you haven’t experienced in real life. But that’s KTT2

And I'm sorry to hear that truly. That's not the case for most people though and that's why it's the recommend action. It doesn't make the pain for people who detransitioned any less real ofc.

So you believe in a society where anything and everything is acceptable other than rape and murder?
