Not terrible. Safe choices for sure.
Just wrap it up
Just wrap it up
I mean it is wrapped up
If you ignore the new films then the franchise ends at No Time To Die

This. You’ve got Jason Bourne and Ethan Hunt, who are similar to bond. If the story is good and the action is great, people will eat it up.
imo if you're gonna get jonathan nolan or berger you might as well just wait until christopher nolan is ready to do it
paul king (paddington and wonka) is the choice with some wacky juice here imo.
him doing a throwback bond set in the 60s is kind of
This nigga gorgeous bro

Agreed
this kind of a rough and rudimental view of things but
if the 90s/2000s bond films were kind of reacting to movies like die hard, speed, matrix, mission impossible
and the craig ones were kind of post Jason Bourne, post gritty tv, post dark knight etc.
what is the 2020s action/blockbuster pulse that these movies will be shaped by?
john wick/mission impossible 4-8/top gun maverick type stuff?

i don't think it's movies anymore (Maybe a character study like The Killer would be fire)

The final few Craig’s took a lot from MI.
Also Moonraker was made in direct response to Star Wars, The Spy Who Loved Me/Jaws, Live and Let Die was made at the height of blaxploitation, and on multiple occasions they took advantage of the kung fu craze.
It’s in the DNA of these movies to borrow and take whatever is en vogue, I hope Amazon realizes that.
It’s one of the bigger reasons (among many many others) why the main Bond series should never ever be a throwback.

Nolan doing bond would be the most boring decision he ever made

So would you agree that john wick mission impossible recent ones and top gun maverick is the vogue thing rn that James Bond 2020s would probably riff on?
