What makes you think that more severe crimes wouldn’t increase as well tho?

People would just commit crimes and know they don't have to necessarily suffer, so there would fe be an increase in severe crimes, and crimes overall. This thread is pointless from the start imo

Ok @op , let's say in your fantasy land where prisons and jails are abolished in replacement of these more extreme and intensive rehab centers, let's say a child molester IS somehow rehabilitated out of their ways of being a child molester. What is a precedent for judging this?? Who's to judge if a rapist is cured?? If they ARE truly rehabilitated from this mind state, what makes you think we would still want these kind of people out on the streets living care free lives with the rest of society??

And easier to make the DECISION to commit a severe crime as well because the horrible repercussions of prison no longer exist and had been replaced with one that doesn’t look so bad.
