What about the people that cant or don't want to be rehabilitated?

They dont get back into the general population

I’m even okay with d*** dealers & even people who’ve committed murder (only once)

I think anyone doing a harsh sentence for d*** related crimes or theft should be allowed to go through a program that can potentially change them

I think prisons should be reserved for people who commit insane or disgusting crimes

Many prisons present themselves as a correctional facility. When a lot of the time people come out even more f***ed up than they already were because of the condition inside. The system isn’t trying to put prisoners on a path to keep them away from crime and out of prison they’re treating them like s*** setting them up to come back. That’s why I say prisons aren’t doing what they’re supposed to do the system is corrupt.

It's not like the centers wouldn't be supervised. But its also likely that their living conditions will be better inside the center

Having medical professionals and maybe some elected community members supervising a facility is not able to be equated with armed prison guards

What if they want to leave to commit more crimes and are beyond rehabilitation?

How would people end up in your rehabilitation centers?

I believe 99% of people don’t want to go to prison. It seems to be a horrible place that people want to avoid at all costs. Most who consider committing a crime will think about it more than once because of the concept of prison.

In s society where rehabilitation facilities have replaced prisons, don’t you think people will be more likely to commit crimes? Like somebody might say: “Man I have a serious pedofilia problem, I need to get some psychological treatment, I could just get that right now but f*** it I’m just going to enjoy myself and rape children until I get caught up, then they’ll take me to a rehabilitation facility and I’ll be out as a better person.”

Like wherever these people thats not in a prison or jail are sent to in your scenario to be rehabilitated, what if they're beyond that and want to leave? How are they being kept there?
