i consider human trafficking a crime against humanity and as ive said itt, im less sympathetic of those types of crimes, as well as those where there is a power imbalance as clearly there was here.

also, in the case of peter scully, clearly according to y'all he'd be someone who can't be rehabbed. so if thats the case, he would never be let back into the general population.

Uhm no. I've said itt from the profit beginning that I believe everyone gets a chance but that it doesn't extend to war crimes, crimes against humanity, and I'd have to evaluate situations where there's a powr imbalance (such as teacher/student)

I think that concept would just fall back to what we have now in Europe.

Think about it

Prison became bad when they turned it into an industry. Once anything gets big enough to be labeled an industry the humane element of it is lost. Industries are only meant to make as much money as quickly as possible regardless of the means.

The idea of jail/prison isn't bad. There does need to be place in which to house dangerous individuals and attempt to rehabilitate them. However, before we even get to that point, the justice system does need to be completely overhauled as well because that has become corrupt and exploitable.

It's an entire process that has to be made and the entire landscape of prisons and incarceration has to be completely restructured from the ground up. But I do believe jails/prisons do have to exist. Unless we tryna return to the "eye for an eye" method of dealing with crimes...which I do see some benefits in (IE: We could possibly see much less rape/sexual assault crimes going on if the punishment for committing the act would lead to the rapist getting raped and or severely beaten legally)
