How is putting their last name as a part of the Institute's name taking away from the members at all?

    Are you joking?

If someone sees or heard about paul institute, aren’t they more likely to think of jai paul, then of some other new artists?

Also that’s sort of a tangent to my point, you were the one claiming that jai paul releasing music in some way takes away from the other artists... my point was that it doesn’t, and that if jai thought that was even a possibility then he wouldn’t have named it paul institute as to avoid confusion that it’s about jai paul lol

Of course they're going to assume it as to do with Jai. That's what gets their foot in the door...
I know the point you're trying to make but I'll have to disagree and it's not like people can't read up on what the Institute is about.
It's just funny how time after time people expect more from Jai rather than letting things happen.

    This

that static that void that space, it creates a special feeling I don't know how to describe it but it's special and I love it

Their use of space makes it sound so polished and well done. I can see how it can sound sterile to some, but to me it adds to that futuristic vibe

According to my listening stats jai paul is my second fav artist of all time and even I accepted it bruh. We need to appreciate AK and the rest of PI just as much as we appreciate jai imo

These PI tracks seem to have some moments of “dead noise” I don’t really know how to describe it, it’s like they’re refined so much to the point where they basically lose their natural characteristics.

Like listen to Be Honest, theres times in the track where a kick will hit and that’s all we’ll hear, no atmospheric response or anything. AK is a genius so I’m in no position to point out production notes but on the contrary, DYLH & He both have a polished sonic atmosphere where sounds bounce back. There’s always sound in the foreground & background. Those two singles, in my opinion, blow anything from PI out the water.

Not even sure if I’m conveying this correctly but does anyone else understand what I’m trying to say

    FYI: I like the tracks

i mean that’s really just more of a stylistic choice

i think the deader, more minimalist sound sets AK apart from jai in an interesting way tbh

    both equally grooving to me

too busy atm to go after finding all these tracks, just hope they land on spotify or youtube or get uploaded somewhere at some point. Great to see PI making new moves tho, hyped to hear more Ruthven and Fabiana

every track gets a full day to itself, I think that's pretty special. They will definitely come out once this run of singles is finished in one way or another.

The PI is a platform for new and upcoming artists to have a safe space and receive guidance from Jai & A.K

It’s not a problem for either of the brothers to drop music and get recognition, Jai is signed to XL & A.K is closely tied. By naming it the Paul Institute, it allows for them - industry wide - to attract media, blogs, and fans to follow these new artists. On BBC, that’s what he essentially said. It’s a “vehicle” for artists making innovative music to navigate the industry easier.

    Wrong but nice try

If JAI PAUL thought he would take too much attention away from the institutes members then it wouldn’t have been named “PAUL Insitute”

most ridiculous post ive seen in this thread
