Nah I do like some white rappers, but to me Hip-Hop is about escaping struggle or pain. I understand that's not everyone's view so I'm getting different perspectives on the subject.
did u know hip hop was created at house/block parties and was generally just about having a good time?
yes we all know everyone whose parents own a major signage company ends up a huge rapper (or whatever their desired career is) and gets recognized by the goats in that career
the industry plant convo is one of the dumbest online. do you know how hard Jay Z tried to make Memphis Bleek happen? or how hard Wayne tried to make Kidd Kidd, Mack Maine, Lil Twist and so many others happen?
talent matters more
I don’t think they have connects to music industry lol probably helped a lot with money and being able to pursue his career but doubt marketing agency from Kentucky has music industry pulls

One of which was written and directed by Morgan Freeman. His mom is part owner of a brokerage firm where the average salary is $150k. Jack is def well connected lmfao
Peter pettigrew snitching is the only reason Harry didn’t grow up to be a cook at the leaky cauldron

Again, it's cool. People in this thread are way more heated than I am, I'm looking to have a levelheaded discussion. Times change, cultures shift and become more complex.
Not looking to spend my entire day off here, I'll check back later.

Never said they were connected to Hollywood or the deep industry, I said they had money. Even if it's a franchise, they're still CEOs, probably make at least 6 figures, and they have networks. They got his foot in the door. He put in work after that, but that's still a major advantage over kids who have nothing.
If that's the new normal, that's fine. It's the culture now. Again, I'm just seeing where people are at.
The guy he signed to for his first EP is his hollywood connect. Man produced a movie for Morgan Freeman
