This Gang Gang Gang song is crazy
Nigga had a serial rapist and child molester in his close circle
then the ride for my dawgs hook after like
He condemned it in the third verse but he shoulda went harder on the condemnation that was nuts
bruh fr 😭
gonna try to give a locked in listen later
Can anyone name another white rapper that’s popping rn? I must be outta the loop or something. Not that I don’t think it helps Jack Harlow
MGK albums sell more than Jack
He more a pop punk guy now but still
50k really isn't bad at all considering all the hype the last one had and this was pretty much a surprise drop with no promo
Considering that last album was straight ass I’m pleasantly surprised by this. Nothing groundbreaking but a surprisingly solid couple songs on here

Song was so confusing given the title lol. I was expecting something for the whip
he's definitely peaked
I can't see how it's up for Jack from here on now
He needs to lean fully in to the mainstream imo. He is the Mac Miller/Logic lane now. Their fans are now his for the most part. Huge market and he needs to intentionally tap into that and level it up.
Not here to hate. He’s been one of the most charming people I’ve seen, made some of my favorite songs in life.
But this isn’t an album I’ll ever play again. It’s deep, it’s venty, personal sad boy songs that’ll bring my mood down. This is great because it’ll bring people closer to him and at least he talks about real s*** so I can’t complain because people go through things. He’s human with feelings and experiences.
Just saying this album isn’t for me that’s all.
Only listened to Gang Gang cuz I seen it on social media. Idk how y’all gettin the point confused
Last verse could’ve been harder tho
This was a good album. Every album he proves that he's not the token white boy rapper, like he really bars up. I think that's cool.
Ultimately though, for me, I think this is another step away from "That's what they all say" which is still his best, and most complete work IMO
He has obvious appeal, which gets him in the door, and he's got some rapping chops. But the actual songs for the most part on this and Come Home just fall flat from a listenability standpoint. I just never feel compelled to listen to him again. He's very much stealing the Drake ethos but he's 1) Not nearly as good of a rapper) and 2) Not nearly as good with Melody and songwriting.
Harlow would be better off if he focused on making the best, biggest songs that he can.
To be frank, he's a technically sound rapper, but no one cares and in 2023 it's just not gonna work as a white lyricists. Being white, middle class, in this climate trying to rap just screams culture vulture. There's nothing he can do to convince people at large that he's a good rapper, which was the point of this album.
At large, his biggest issue is that he's not there yet as a songwriter and a hitmaker. IMO, outside of Nail Tech and First Class (which success was obv not because of him) he doesn't have the writing or melodic chops to make those hits. To me, he came closest to it however on That's what they all say, (Just friends record with CB, face of my city with Lil Baby, Tyler Herro) but the last two albums have been a step down in that regard.
He's talented, so he'll always have some solid joints on his LP's. Even on Come Home he did, but overall for me Come Home was just him trying to do something that he did much better on That's what they all say and this is just him trying to prove that he can spit which...sure but no one gives a f*** lol
I actually thought this was a pretty dope little project. Stepped up his subject matter for sure. Production was cool also

50k for an album like this w/o any singles as a surprise drop from his level of popularity is actually pretty impressive. esp as only 10 tracks
Yeat? Might be stretching the definition of popping though
Nah Yeat is valid. Just wondering if there was anymore I was missing
MGK albums sell more than Jack
He more a pop punk guy now but still
Also valid. Fair enough. It’s like with Posty. They use rap as a gateway

I mean MGK was actually rapping. Posty always had a foot out the door

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uWgr_p0ykwoMy point is that rap can seem inescapable. However, there’s always an alternative exit, seemingly, to white contemporary rap artists, to pursue different genres and maintain their rap clout.
I don’t say it as necessarily a bad thing, but I think it’s much easier for Kid Laroi to transition to pop music than I’d expect it be for a black rap artist to bend genres and be recognized as such; even if they’re already clearing doing that ie Trippie Redd.
Joe Budden said this was a 30k fw because it had zero promotion so Jack won
man this is the perfect vacation weather music rn
Nah this album makes me sad as s*** lmao
Only listened to Gang Gang cuz I seen it on social media. Idk how y’all gettin the point confused

People dumb as s***
