In an era where we instantly look at white rappers as dorks/culture vultures so I don’t see how him being white helps him outside of “he’s white so he’s familiar to white fans” which I don’t really think is a thing at this point when A.) white fans love niggas like Durk and Youngboy lol B.) white people performatively fall into the first sentence above where they’ll hate on white rappers to get ahead of criticisms we’ve heard for decades about niggas like Em and Macklemore lol

been to a Jack Harlow concert it was mostly white folks bc white folks are the biggest listeners of rap music and it aint even about rap fans YB aint crossover past rap fans, and Durk’s crossover is due to Drake & Morgan Wallen, and it aint like its a permanent crossover. Jack easily crossed over. im not saying it wasnt bc of talent, but his whiteness definitely helped. Jack def got black fans but his fanbase is white ppl

dont even think its culture vulture-y but we can be honest that whiteness played a role in his success in breaking through with the speed that he did (ik he put a lot of work b4 Whats Poppin but he dropped one hit and easily became like a mainstream juggernaut type beat) but yeah its not to say he dont have ability its just kinda built into whiteness that it helps you navigate the western world
