You guys really don't hear Mac Miller?
Flows are totally different
Subject matter is totally different
Voice tone is totally different
We all know why this comparison is being made
i feel like i’m the only person who listens to jack harlow and hears jack harlow
I think Droog and Bronson are great but I'm not gonna pretend the comparisons to Nas and Ghostface aren't there lol

Because he's doing vocal fry with little multis over beats that sound like the WMWTSO era?
Mac better obviously tho

None of these beats sound like they could go on that album

not familiar with droog at all so can’t speak on that but bronson/ghost is much more blatant than any comparisons you can make about jack and whoever else imo
jack def wears his influences on his sleeve no doubt but i don’t think it’s as direct as someone like bronson

If I had to name two rappers who blew up off some poppy rap nobody took very seriously only to scale it back out of nowhere with a boom bappy purist project over some lo-fi loops
My little review of a few tracks:
Common Ground: I really don’t understand the purpose of this track. He’s just saying something everyone already knows is a thing. Obviously black culture has had a major effect on kids in white suburbia but he himself is guilty of the s*** he says in the song. It’s just a very tone deaf song
Gang Gang Gang: I actually really like the idea of this song. Going back home and finding out s*** about old friends. I’ve had this happen everytime I go visit my hometown. Finding out some of my closest friends growing up are dead, In jail, or did something unspeakable is a weird ass feeling. I wish he would’ve talked more about how it made him feel instead of boiling it down to “sometimes you gotta cancel your friends”. It’s a lot harder and more complicated then that.
It Can’t Be: This the dumbest song on here. Nobody is denying Jack has talent and skill but he’s literally saying “me being white had absolutely nothing to do with my success” which like.. come on dude. This also sounds even more stupid after hearing the intro track. This honestly some Tom McDonald ass s***. Eminem was way more authentic then Jack, He actually grew up with the culture and straight up said my skin color is a huge reason for my career being so successful
Overall I think Jack heard all the people saying they wanted more deep stuff after his last album and this was his response. I feel like he kinda struggles to understand the difference between deep and “woke”

Jack is more like Logic or Cordae for sure
It's more like that Magic album Nas dropped as a surprise and we all said was good and forgot about in 2 weeks
Bro I’m talking in comparison to his last joint, not the actual value of the album lmao
The last joint was legit horse s***

I hear more milo than mac tbh

Jack's pen game is way too pedestrian for that
Jack's pen game is way too pedestrian for that
No absolutely lol I just mean sometimes in cadence and inflection.
The garden still private as ever, the gang thrivin’ together
Ya boy's strivin' to be the most dominant ever
The hardest white boy since the one who rapped about vomit and sweaters
And hold the comments 'cause I promise you I'm honestly better than whoever came to your head right then
the flow he catches at this part is so ill
Out on no respect for Mac in this verse. I liked this album from Jack but Mac was 100x the artist that Jack ever will be
i feel like i’m the only person who listens to jack harlow and hears jack harlow
He doesn't try to hide his influences so it's really hard to ignore until he finds his own sound. He should link up with a unique producer to help him build an identity for his next album sound

what’s a multi
