slimreapercantrapi don't doubt jack is a real one as far as what he f***s w, most successful artists have pretty good taste. but the guy is just not that good at making this type of stuff. it feels directionless, and the serious rap s***, u need to have direction there. I would much rather see him on his bad boy s*** rapping abt hos and ice in a velour tracksuit. who is asking for these songs abt rape n pedo
i feel you but i’m glad he cares enough to try tbh. especially when the biggest new rappers out here content with making the same s*** over and over (cough Lil Baby cough)
i doubt he’ll make another album like this tho it’s prolly just a one off thing

I mean that’s the dichotomy of why every one is a trap rapper now.
Most niggas who are good enough at purely rapping have kinda had a boring life (Jack Harlow or Cordae). And/or the auteurs with the best aesthetic and sonic tastes have no real subject matter/have a ceiling on rapping skills and it’s just glittery shiny music about nothing (Carti Travis Rocky)
If you have ghostwriters you gotta be a Dre Kanye etc level producer to make up for it and still you have an asterisk next to your rapping skills which few can sustain. You gotta drop Ye level albums for people not to care
And Niggas like Kendrick who are super artsy and have enough of a connection to some real s*** are rare. Niggas like Symba who can purely rap and have somewhat of a story usually aren’t artsy enough to stand out like a Kendrick and peak at a certain spot unless they catch the right album or song.
I salute bro for just tryna have some real subject matter but prolly ain’t really been thru s*** so he gotta talk about growing a beard and his niggas being r words lol. Tough lol
