Actually really good so far other than the random homophobia admission dunno how I feel about it

Once mfs giving you instructions on how to listen to an album, you know itās mid
Saying the disc with what if is unnecessary
The music simply isn't fun enough to be a "turn your brain off" situation
The only appeal of the music is his skill at rapping but when you try to pay attention to what he's rapping about you realize the answer is pretty much nothing
It's just bland
Thats what I just wanted to say. He can rap but the lyricism is thin in a sense. With Cole you get what you hear on first listen. There are no layers to his lyrics. You can see he loves rap and is inspired by some of his greatest contemporaries and legends but he doesnāt take it a step further than that,
There is nothing in his lyrics that surprises me or makes me think about really anything. They just wash over you. Only thing I leave each song with is that he is great at rapping in a technical sense.
REMOVE BOMBS/HIT THE GAS AND USE THIS AS DISC 1 ENDING
USE LONELY AT THE TOP AS DISC 2 ENDING
SOMEONE TELL IB TO HIT ME UP ITS ONLY BEEN A COUPLE HOURS WE CAN EDIT THE ALBUM IN 2026

Unfortunately there's very little else on the album with that kind of energy
Once mfs giving you instructions on how to listen to an album, you know itās mid
yeah but how do you think quik stop, a song where he is quite literally yelling by the time the verse ends, is a snooze lol

When you see āif you donāt like this you donāt like rapā then you already know you in for some bs
Tape 1 was really good
People did infact go into this with bias but thatās what life is for Cole atp
Canāt put the Jeanie back in the bottle
Actually really good so far other than the random homophobia admission dunno how I feel about it
that was from the perspective of one of his niggas no?
alright just listened to disc 1 after getting some sleep and only standout tracks imo are legacy and lonely at the top. some good verses here and there also, but overall not feeling it
Wanted to get a fresh listen off the internet for this one. Just finished. Not going to lie off first listen Iām loving this s***. Yeah itās a little long but f*** man heās been talking about this s*** for damn near a decade heās earned it. So many good raps, introspective stories and really just him showing heās improved in every aspect of what makes him a good artist. Iām sure people will find a way to s*** on this but if youāre a J Cole fan idk how you could ask for anything more
Actually really good so far other than the random homophobia admission dunno how I feel about it
hood niggas are homophobic tho lol
Istg that Disc 2 was in the same melody for like 8 songs.
Yea this is a solid 7/10 for me. Not terrible but not amazing. Had it just been Disc 1 I would've given this a 8.5/10
