Kanye was a mf fool for this beat man
he owes his career to this man
That's why False Prophets is extremely lame imo, he benefitted a lot off Kanye
Why
Biting the hand that fed you type s***. I only checked out TWU/FNL because he was being hailed as the next Ye. Think the same applied for many people
Not saying an inspiration is beyond critique (especially Ye). But to drop that song to build up hype for an upcoming album, I can't respect it
I don’t expect it to be that, but the general public might be expecting it based off the blizzard tape and if they half listened to the teaser
I think a lot of ppl gonna be shocked at the quality of the album tbh
Would think the general public would treat a freestyle mixtape no different than a radio freestyle run, it's the same thing.
i wish just this once for a rapper to stand by the final album gimmick
lord knows we need it
And nobody said Friday night lights or the warm up sounded like Kanye. They said Cole sounded like Kanye with pac vibes. You’re being obtuse on purpose while accusing other people of the same thing. You weren’t there.
"Nobody said these Cole projects sounded like Kanye. They said Cole sounded like Kanye plus someone else"![]()
the title of the mixtape shows Cole wasn’t even confident in the music enough to be sure he wanted to release it
why would i listen to something Cole wasn’t even confident in
MDL one of the worst rap projects of the decade man, it’s The Big Day-level bad in my opinion
tbf if that krit double album was just him barring up for 20 something songs people wouldn’t have loved it as much
but cole been working on ts and revising it for a decade so I believe he can do it
4eva is a good example of a well balanced double album, good rapping but some vibes like the layup etc.. I didn't say with one word that i have a problem with bar heavy songs, the dude above came at my neck instantly and acted like i want cole to drop a melodic trap album.
Crazy Cole dropped False Prophets 10 years ago and the stans of the PDF Nazi are still coming into his threads pressed about it

he could coast off JID alone for another decade if he wanted too
crazy to think about tbh, I love keem but i dont think even kendrick could say that

This would only make sense if this was big sean or someone, ye never had a real relationship with cole other than influencing him.
Cole and ye had some slight issues predating false prophet anyhow
just being straight up: no chance im listening to 24 cole songs so all my hate itt will just be blind hatred and rage baiting

the biggest question is how he's gonna carry a double album. he's a great rapper but is he a good enough artist to make a 24 song project servicable? I mean if he start experimenting with different styles his fans gonna call this s*** too commercial , but if this too rap heavy like the teaser song ppl gonna fall asleep. I'm afraid he can't really do good here but let's see tonight.
I said it a bit ago, but I do not believe Cole is capable of carrying a double album on his own. Not even trying to hate on him, but in my years of listening to Cole I have never gotten the feeling he has the depth for that much music on an album. Lotta times I'd say that's completely fine and works best for him, because he has a habit of falling into redundancy with his topics, rapping style, and at worst, his production. The latter is a big reason why it's been so crucial that he's been working with more producers outside of himself and people who been in Dreamville for his last two projects.
If this is about to be a double album with little to no features, and it's him carrying the bulk of the production I beg him to find a way to cut this s*** down. I am not tryna listen to 24 tracks of that. To me, it'd start becoming like a long KOD where it gets obnoxiously preachy and trying to make the shallow end of a pool deep.
His die hard fans will obviously not care because I'm sure they're just here for as much music as possible from a retirement album. But for someone like me who was once a big fan and became a casual listener, I'm really hoping this ain't bloated double album just for the sake of it being a double album because "All the greats got one, so I need one!"

Ye fell tf off, I don't even fw TLOP as much as this site does. Was a HEAVY Cole stan around 2012 - 2016. But both artists at their peak - Cole not holding a f***ing candle to Ye
MDL is a good tape whats wrong with yall?
bio: “fuck pnd, pnd is ass”
are we supposed to take you seriously?

I agree with you about the no features. I really hope there are features. 24 tracks from ANYONE with no features is too much at once. Not really a Cole hate thing to admit
