It didnt take 2 years to go platinum it took 2 years for them to certify it and now its 6x platinum with a diamond song on it. Its one of the longest charting rap albums ever
https://twitter.com/chartdata/status/1865908394466402428Tour was so packed he had to add more dates
And 10 years later it still gets brought up, ya keep tryna rewrite history
Wet Dreamz is 9X platinum too. Takes a special kind of record for a boom bap storytelling song to be that successful in the modern era. Tired of people trying to dismiss that song.
Nah the revisionism about FHD is crazy
I think itās a solid project but this idea that it was some instant classic that had massive impact is crazy
And I know some dumbass Cole stan gonna reply to this by making up a bunch of s*** like I didnāt live through the album dropping
I didnāt think it was an instant classic when it dropped back when I was in high school, but I remember being majorly impressed with it after how āmehā I found the majority of Born Sinner to be. The production in particular was a massive step up.
I think overtime itās definitely the closest album he has to the āclassicā label. Emphasis on Album because I already know what the deal is when it comes to the mixtapes.

4YEO revisionism is even worse
s*** still the sleepiest album i've ever heard and i see mfs call it a classic
FHD is a masterpiece compared to it
he is 10000% doing that lol he already hinted at it in that post today "made with intentions to be my last" it's his Black Album moment
i think this gives him the opportunity to come back eventually.

Conway and Stove actually do have some incredible projects but Griselda workrate obscures all of that

Yeah we know No Role Modelz is a big song in the streaming era but it took off years later because of TikTok and s***, back when it dropped the song was treated like an ok J. Cole song
"As of December 2016, the album has sold 1,240,000 copies in the United States."

never personally got the hype for FHD since it dropped but i was fully a Dot stan back then
we need a PSA if this is his Black Album
We need a "Renegade" too.
EDIT: Oh snap, my bad. "Renegade" is on The Blueprint. My bad.
Imagine if we didnāt have Kendrick, how different Coleās career would be
Yall think this is gonna do over or under GNX first week? Just a general question please don't make this beef related.

he's for sure going the jay route where he drops top tier features every so often and keeps the idea of an album on the table

sales? Probably more but its way longer so it'd be weird if it wasnt
