yeah FNL felt like an album (should have been his debut) the warm up/come up were really those mixtapes but tell his journey. crazy how he started talking first track on the come up. its like he had this planned the whole time

FNL might as well be his debut, s*** came out under Columbia but Jay did what he did for Meg for Cole back then and negotiated it to be a commercial mixtape so he could get out his deal right around when he was pushing Rihanna lmfao

Born Sinner came out my junior year of high school and was the first time I really started stanning and taking Cole seriously as more than just “the dude who makes a lot of the music I enjoy listening to”

KOD was the message I needed after fully experiencing the d***/party culture of SoundCloud and artist my age 2015-2018 (shit was a blur of weed/molly/acid/alcohol every other week, it’s still hard to remember a lot of those years)

2014FHD came out my senior year of high school and really made me think about the future and what I wanted out of life. me and my girl did not make it the next semester so the album came back full circle that fall/winter as a freshman in college

Sideline Story came out of freshman year of high school and opened my eyes to the world of women followed by losing my virginity the next year as a sophomore

nah i get born sinner and fhd/ss even. Off season and KOD especially was disappointing to me. Not that off season is bad its not but just dont reach that bs - 4yeo run

The Offseason was for us working out niggas, gotta really get in a zone with that album lmao

KOD I think I just rate it highly cause it it’s deadass an underrated Cole project cause of the timing it came out in. the nigga was trying a lot of different flows and getting some out the box creativity for the type of rapper he supposed to be. he was really working with the sounds of the time well too, it’s not aging bad at all. idk it was more fun than just deep to me but I think people got to stuck on the corny messaging that the music just didn’t hit as well

I think come up actually underrated nowadays
