How tf am I hating? I was praising the album all last night and this morning
you were literally just s***ting on his fanbase for something every fanbase does. stop the reach
Kendrick and Cole aren't activist. They just don't sell d**** and kill ppl in every verse.
They are far from activist.
I wasn’t ready to be this let down man. Knew something was up when the tracklist was so short, all this years in the making talk had me expecting way more
bruhhh lol i feel like Cole needs to come out and expand what he meant on this.
i mean he don't gotta do s*** i'm sure he doesn't care
but this is really getting misconstrued and i hate to see it having this effect on the project.
he floated on We Ball i gotta play that today
I only f*** with playas and pimps nigga
You a created player like Sims nigga
one of my favorite bars of his and I have no idea why. Think the way we said it just was stuck in my head.
Yellow Tape's a classic album btw
In what world was Kanye West viewed as a conscious rapper even BACK THEN I'm so confused.
Not conscious but he was known as a backpack rapper until Grad/808s

Tell their fanbases that lol.
I don’t really see Kendrick fans do that as often but it probably does happen ngl.
Kendrick fans usually put him up there as social activist type which is why some of his lyrics on blacker the berry got torn apart or why he got alot of heat for not putting out a statement last year
I see it happen a lot especially during the TPAB era before he got a stylist.
Kendrick even made songs that can be considered anti capitalist on TPAB and then switch around stunting his lifestyle on a lot of damn cuts.

the problem is that niggas group his fans together with the ones that think they are. those niggas are stans.
you were literally just s***ting on his fanbase for something every fanbase does. stop the reach
Every fanbase does not say their favorite rapper is humble and down to earth.
I’ve seen Cole stans take pics of him wearing the same shirt talking about “how many rappers you know wear the same clothes twice in a row”
And again I’m not even hating. I’m just explaining why he’s getting a lil backlash for that bar
Not conscious but he was known as a backpack rapper until Grad/808s
backpack rapper yeah, I noted that earlier and said how he had the Louie Vuitton backpack for that reason.
Anyone that was seriously calling him a CONSCIOUS rapper back then was smoking dust lol.
Tell their fanbases that lol.
I don't let fan bases influence what I think of artist. My heroes are Marc Lamont Hill, Angela Davis, Marcus Garvey etc.
Kendrick and Cole don't even try to be that. They have never alluded to being activist.
Damn... just woke up.
This man can put me to sleep like no other. Will try to finish the album later today.
Backpacker not conscious. That was for Mos and Talib. Kanye was kinda like their materialistic cousin
In what world was Kanye West viewed as a conscious rapper even BACK THEN I'm so confused.
He 100% was lol

I would make the argument that Kendrick tried to but I'm too tired lol.
they just great rappers.
I had no urge to ever return to KOD but I already wanna play this again

they just great rappers.
Kendrick tired to be an activist?
I can give you lines from every era of him saying he isn't an activist lol.
Literally every era of his mainstream career.
Backpacker not conscious. That was for Mos and Talib. Kanye was kinda like their materialistic cousin
50 was on top and kanye was the yang to that Ying
Conscious doesn't mean dusty you can be fresh and conscious
Backpacker not conscious. That was for Mos and Talib. Kanye was kinda like their materialistic cousin
this site don't know what conscious rapper means.
There was a thread about "conscious rappers" and someone said Isaiah Rashad was a conscious rapper lol.

I just feel like the marketing and hype doesn’t match up with what we got here, idk if I’m misconstruing something but for a rapping exercise project years in the making by someone who’s supposed to be one of the greatest, this just really underwhelmed me. He’s spitting for the most part but there’s only a few tracks that really made me feel like he was pushing himself on the highest level rap type stuff, he could’ve done way more
