He would bring his top bars for a cole project
it's not just the bars when your voice makes me wanna stab my ears with a soldering iron

yikes
yall would NOT have wanted that.
Cam'ron's rapping/voice has degraded heavily over the years.
As much as I love Cam this is true
His voice sucks now even tho he sounded like Rocafella Cam on the intro
I think maybe he would’ve dug deep in his bag and brought that old aura back for this
The Punchin the clock beat is pretty interesting
that track is proof that if bro just had different production his discography goes a very different route.
him and KRIT both should've been using outside production much earlier in their careers.
My initial thoughts was this couldn’t have taken years to make like he tweeted.
While the lyrics are good, it does sound like every other Cole album I’ve heard. Flows and lyrics are of the same content, attitude, energy, delivery.
If this is what Cole brings then that’s fine. I honestly like KOD which is ironic because that’s the first project he tried something new with a concept
I give this album a 7.5/10. I don’t see myself coming back to it too much except for a few tracks. He bodied a lot of songs because we know he can do that. Would just like a little more experimentation. Anything.
Great album, but it kinda felt like Cole rapping trying to prove how good he was rather than coming from any kind of real inspiration or purpose. Some excellent songs though.
@BlackSlug this was what I meant last night brodie.
my thing is. there's always gon be differing opinions on s***, why doesn't this site invite constructive conversation around it? it's just you're whack if you love it or you're lame if you don't.
we can't go any deeper than that? lol i feel like the first site was better at that. now i'm forced to have surface level convos with friends who don't love music as much because it's not even worth dissecting s*** on here
The hook to this remind me of 100 mil remind me of this hook for whatever reason lmaooo

bruh feel the same way, I already have ppl in my circle calling it mid and I personally dont mind but have good reasoning for it.
This album hit home for me
hunger on hillside sounds like a victory lap for Cole

7.5 is way too high for a album you’re saying you won’t revisit again
Y’all gotta adjust your grading scales

the population of ktt could be younger than it used to be
everything is seen as an attack and all they know is to one up somebody else
Bro turn kod off and listen to off season
Ok fine pride is the devil and the climb back are decent
yeah. As a rapper, Cole might be the best "aight" rapper we've had. But his charisma + mic presence + flows are bar none.

I think 7.5 is about right because he did go in with the lyrics and there are some moments
I won’t come back for a full listen but I will come back for a few songs.
Seems like a fair score.

yea I get this and i feel you but isn't this what niggas on here criticized him for in the past?
for not rapping to his full potential and making "concept albums"?
now he moves away from that and makes a project of just raps and people still aren't happy
Not you specifically but alot of posters on here

I mean you had full on KOD and 4YEO fans on here saying they like those better than this joint.
The reason this album aint better than FHD and FNL strictly cause on both of those projects there was a perfect balance of "tear your head off" while writing songs at the same time.
And nah, I aint take what you said personally I know you just mean in general lol.
