The reason it was hated was because it was the peak of the SC era/xanax wave s***.
Remember the "fuck J Cole" movement s*** at the time, cause loser junkie nerds were hating lyrical rap at the time
1985 was proved right
Cole out here dropping another album with critical hype while Pump is nowhere to be found

yeah but he hopped on the wave of the popular sound while also talking down on that wave. overall the theme was still kinda lackluster even though it was correct
Cap
Naw. They both underwhelming but the highs on KOD are a bit higher and the lows on 4YEO are lower.
Was trying to respond to multiple people at once, my bad lol
first time i get tagged and its a mistake. thanks DAVIDP
I s*** talk him but only because I feel he’s made uninspired music for a good chunk of a decade and just comes off pretentious when dissing the new generation
when did he 'diss' the new generation?
If 4YEO and a few songs from KOD could be combined would be amazing - just too much junk on both of them
Cole need to diss both Kendrick and Drake. Friendly Java of course.
nah just diss em f*** it spit on them niggas too and call kanye a b****

He was right about some of the newer generation like Lil Pump. They faded into irrelevancy. And he took a much more diplomatic stance imo compared to some of the OGs (LOOKING AT YOU MARSHALL).
All I know is this cover is better than 3.15.20’s and I love bino
I Still love that album. I listen to it alot

1985 was insane to me, I bugged out when I first heard that. Loved to see Cole put lil' dude in his place. Cole hate really always been corny and annoying to me
hopefully this album changes the tide for a while on KTT

Do you think that's why? I felt it was more because he was speaking on alot of personal s*** about addiction/struggles trying to lecture the people listening somewhat which turned those people off.
But you're right
album in 14 mins or 1hr & 14? sometimes albums drop at 8
Albums never drop at 11 anymore since streaming.
3.15 is the bar??
Nah it was a comment on that weirdo who came in the thread to hate and someone pulled up that his gambino bad take

What's your favorite on there?
Mine is vibrate and sweet life
Naw. They both underwhelming but the highs on KOD are a bit higher and the lows on 4YEO are lower.
I’d disagree. 4YEO, Neighbors, Immortal prob the highest highs for me on 4YEO. Kevin’s Heart, Window Pain, Brackets prob my highest highs on KOD. I’m taking 4YEO.

No it wasn't a mistake! I was trying to tag bout you and cilvia lol
Why is Bino being brought up
All I want from him is S3 of Atlanta expeditiously.
