Ja is the future. His game improves every year. Plus his team is better as a whole than the mavs.
absolutely not
luka will have more mvps/scoring titles/asg’s than ja
i ain’t gonna speak on rings cuz i don’t see either of them getting 1 on their current teams

I was sitting in here for ages trying to think of a music hot take I have and then I remembered I didn't really f*** with Donuts
But it's on me, I don't have the knowledge to really comprehend what it is that Dilla did on there
i’m praying 4 u my brother
I genuinely think Wildflower is the greatest album of the 2010s and one of my personal favourite albums of all time, it means so much to me, it's a real true expression of love for music and life
It feels amazing knowing someone agrees with me
True masterpiece in my eyes and easily one of my favorite albums ever for me. And that feeling has only grown stronger over time unlike a lot of albums I’ll love the first few months they’re out. I always feel like if they could track it somehow I would be in the top 10 wildflower listeners OAT easily
He can’t shoot and he’s gonna deal with major injuries if he keeps relying on athleticism
Wym he can’t shoot? He’s not a bad shooter lol there’s FAR worse in the league. His career TS% is like 55% or something like that.
wwaly is better than both
Def not but it’s extremely overlooked in general. Peoples’ attachment to SILY is their curse

He’s not a real threat outside of the paint
He’s a 32% three point percent shooter for his career
wwaly is better than both
Wildflower is still my fave but that album's so beautiful, when Cola Boyy says 'We send our love to you Karen' before the Carpenters sample kicks in it destroys me man, it's sampling as an act of love, of prolonging someone's life, the whole ethos of that album is so staggeringly beautiful
I think the whole point of that song went over your head lmao
You know doing things in a tongue in cheek, ironic detachment social commentary way is worse to me than just being genuine. The entire song has that problem. Btw I hope it doesn’t feel like I’m ragging on you, I appreciate your passion for them atleast
Not going to say he's top 10 ever or something but Kenny Beats gets more criticism than he deserves on here and I think it's because he's white

the karen o track where she recites david bermans lyrics can make a grown man cry

100% agree man, it's so great to see someone else who thinks that way, it's such a journey of an album too, the front-to-back experience is a road trip, it's a coming of age, it's life itself, I'm always really affected by it each time I listen

You good it’s just discussion
I don’t see the song as him being ironic with the social commentary, it’s moreso him just stating everything that was happening in the world at the time to emphasize what a crazy time period it was

I legit can’t even give it a full listen often cus right from the start Ghost Story into Story For Barbara Payton is such a gut punch emotionally. There’s so much sorrow, love, and emotion the entire album that’s just overwhelming

I said this bout J*ck H*rl*w and ppl tried calling me racist for weeks smh

@sfsorrow Do you guys appreciate The Avalanches for their use of samples? Or can you just appreciate the songs themselves at face value? I'm asking as someone who tried giving some of their music a shot, but nothing really stuck

Pre-Come Home The Kids Miss You this was valid
But that album was horrendous so all the criticism of him after that has been warranted
the karen o track where she recites david bermans lyrics can make a grown man cry
I only got into David Berman in 2020, way too late sadly, but when when I first heard Pink Siifu reciting lyrics from Darkness and Cold in Running Red Lights it stopped me in my tracks, I still get chills thinking about it, I keep saying it but The Avalanches make music that feels truly borne of love, taking a moment out of your song to pay such a beautiful solemn tribute to a departed friend, it feels like the world stops for it

"His beats have no soul", "They're too formulaic", "Sounds like an AI made them" are some of the criticisms I've seen on here and I think it's because he's white. Law of Averages beat is actually insane
that new vince staples album was a snoozefest

His voice been kinda deadpan for the last two albums, so I get it
Sour by Olivia Rodrigo was wildly overrated
I was one of the biggest champions for it when it dropped but in hindsight yeah absolutely

agreed. in music nowadays its very easy to be cynical but they're really making beautiful collaborations for the world
