Lupe Fiasco’s “Lasers” was it for me. still my top 5 rapper of all time but I lost track of everything he did after that. id catch glimpses of what he’s released but lost interest.

Prior to this I was actually a big fan of Big Sean. But something about this just made me realize just how corny his raps really can be.

Was a really big J Cole fan. I was actually in the trenches fighting for my life against the haters who would call him boring. Born Sinner and FHD had me feeling that people really were just blindly running with the narrative about him being boring...and then this s*** dropped.

It made me completely understand what people were talking about when they said he was boring. Cause I remember my first few listens of the album it actually put me to sleep

Ever since then, new projects from Cole just haven't hit the same. In fairness to him though, I did enjoy KOD much more than 4YEO.
