not saying Jolani isnt a crypto-zionist but you do know historically the syrian govt has basically hated Palestinians right? after syria lost the war against israel in the 60s and then once hafez al-assad took power syria's stance on palestine was essentially "we only support palestinians if its completely on our administrations' terms and goals" which was basically bs cover advocating for greater syria and capture of palestinian territory

yes, everybody is aware of this. in fact their is continuity between the conciliatory stance of baathist syria and the current puppet government's position of normalization. doesn't mean the situation didn't objectively get much worse for palestinians in syria in the short term.

I'm not worried though, Jolani can't be propped up by the foreign occupiers forever and those who wanna fight zionist occupation are going to do so regardless.

however in regard to "greater syria", thats far more complicated than you are giving the idea credit for. historically syria and palestine are closer to a single nation, the borders of these countries were drawn by imperialist compromises. had circumstances been different their's no reason some sort of pan-arab confederation wouldn't have worked. it was a popular idea in palestine as well.

also today in syria, pan-syrians are one of the few groups willing to militarily confront the IOF. it made sense for palestinians to ally with these forces.
