don't get it twisted either, the IOF will be relaunching their offensive against south lebanon as a result of this and will have the full blessing of tahrir al-sham as a support front
Basically already happened they invaded immediately
Khamenei Supported Assad because they both had a soft spot for Imam Ali (😂); ofcourse the Sunnis aint into it!
Sunni fundamentalists also basically believe Alawites are apostates who should be killed so like I said earlier in the thread it’s a chicken or the egg
I think comparing internal conflict to Israeli occupation is genuinely insane. There’s a difference between internal struggle between secularism and fundamentalism and settler imperialism. I don’t even just mean this in an ethnic blood & soil way. While sure I agree there’s “legitimate grievances” in not just Syria but the entire Middle East along more or less ethnic lines, I don’t think conflating that with every single political point is history is always necessary
So you dont think that anti sunni sentiment played a role in the slaugter of sunni civillians?
It was pure reaction to islamist uprising that was a bit disproportional?

Oh yeah once Taliban settles and left unchecked for a decade or two they will eventually gear up to make the whole of Iran Sunni again because eventually they all want the whole pie

I don’t believe the government randomly decided to carry out a civilian massacre arbitrarily. Much of the leadership in the battle was very literally Sunni including the minister of defense at the time. I don’t necessarily disagree that the amount of damage and terror caused to civilians was beyond the pale, but I do think it bears mentioning how the entire thing transpired. Western sources often report the situation as “a few people were fundamentalist insurgents so the regime went on and killed tons of civilians as retribution” and that’s just not what happened.
The syrians in my neighborhood are celebrating.
Wanna kill them all?
their just stupid then

Alawite Syrians have a grouned historical reasons to be extremely reactive when it comes to sunni rule in syria. But you cant deny that context.

"the context" was syrian national minorities fighting against a regional puppet of the imperialist oil barons who wished to enact a 2nd armenian genocide.
Useful idiots. Greater israel in the works
does Israel have the capacity to rule over greater israel for long term, i could see this be a situation of them ending up overextending themselves, i dont get why people are so quick to be judgmental of the consequences of this

the consequences so far have been capitulation. the hezbollah ceasefire terms should've been the first sign that something was wrong.
Sunni fundamentalists also basically believe Alawites are apostates who should be killed so like I said earlier in the thread it’s a chicken or the egg
Alawites are more of an apostate, they believe in the trinity (Ali, Muhammad and Salman the Persian)
Settler colonies once again show they can only project their power against small, broken states like Libya, Iraq, Syria
But NAFO dorks are gonna gas this up as proof American might and support and values are supreme
Uncle jack is a genuine weirdo tho
its such a weird larp account but also he be being way too specific, genuinely frightening

this is a long-term setback for palestine. we will still win but it hasn't gotten any easier.
will these "brave freedom fighters" confront the israeli invasion of the golan heights? I'm sure this wasn't all the plan from the beginning.
Idk syrian politics but i heard the news so all i gotta say is massive prayers to lebanon and also all involved parties except those on the opp (israel) side.
israel have broken through the dmz and are now occupying parts of daraa province
what happened to all those brave patriots who were occupying it? surely they weren't there to just hand over the land to israel themselves.
