    I'm I lying tho. I'm being fr.

What has Bashar done in Syria all these years after capturing most of it with the help of Iran and Russia? How come he fell so fast as soon as Hezbollah and Russia got busy?

He didnt deserve to rule. Let's be honest here

im not gonna call you any names but i suggest to reflect on the fact that you are repeating sentences out of the Hillary Clinton speech writer room

    America won

Im curious how this plays out tho
Could be like in Afghanistan, where the US aids the mujahideen only to end up w the Taliban on top.
There’s actually SO much similarities between HTS and the Taliban ideologically. I think the Taliban publicly congratulated HTS after their conquest of Aleppo

Look the Assad dynasty is not perfect but keeping Syria as an essentially secular state with a Baathist economic structure and resisting against territorial control from jihadists and insane ethnic utopians is objectively a good thing
When you look at the state of much of the Middle East it’s very much impressive that even under crushing sanctions what the Assad regime did within the confines of Syrian national interest. We can say that ultimately he was a regional proxy of Russian or Iran but the benefit Syrians had under his regime was far better equally than that of much of competing oppositional forces or equivalents seen elsewhere in the Middle East. I would never argue with a straight face Baathist Syrian was a perfect government but if you’ve looked even remotely at the history of the post-Israeli Middle East I don’t understand how you can argue they didn’t prove to be a net good for the country vs foreign powers

True tbh, which is why I'm in the fence about all this.

But he clearly wasn't a net good for the majority of Syrian people. Hence why they started the revolution to begin with, no amount of foreign meddling can achieve this tbh.

Bashar isn't his father, that's for sure, and his rule was rotting long ago. If he cared about Syria as a regional power, the way it was during his fathers rule, he should've stepped down long ago before weakening it to the point where the state couldn't survive without foreign support.

this is a turko-zionist plot against the very idea of a syrian nation. it is not however, "over yet", and many will continue to fight back against the imperialists carving up arab land like its a leg of lamb.

why are you acting like al-qaeda didn't have foreign support from turkey, israel, and most importantly, the united states

you can't do this whole "assad is an iranian puppet" thing and then back tahrir al-sham of all f***ing groups as some organic expression of the desires of "regular people"

i dont have to listen to this insanity

I have no doubt HTS has US support, but I doubt even they thought Assad will fall this easily.

And we gotta remember that the US supported Al qeada in Afghanistan too, and it bit them in the ass afterwards with 9/11 lol. So I doubt they see HTS as some kind of ally.

Also Taliban in Afghanistan and Iran got good relations. So why can't Iran develop some kind of relation with Syrian rebels in the future?

Hit translate on this post. This is an offical media spokesperson for houthies in Yemen.

Bashar wasn't a loyal "resistance leader". He always looked out for what's best for him, and him alone.

al-qaeda is not going to give ansarallah their embassy back so this is a moot f***ing point

Not saying it will, but just point out Assad wasn't some resistance leader fighting US imperialism for the good of the axis like Nasrallah as some seem to think he was.

the country is literally being carved up by foreign powers, right at this second. eat a whole d*** you smug piece of s***. how pathetically detached from reality do you need to be to post s*** like this?

islamofascists and neo-ottomanists are taking over state institutions and the zionists are fixing to steal another 100 mi² of syrian land and you feel the need to tell my palestinian ass that the saa wasn't doing enough as if that makes all this ok.

Just wanna point out I do not support al qaeda, and will always support the axis of resistance. Just wanna point out Assad was a horrible person that deserves a worser faith than the one he got dealt with now

He destroyed his country and weakened it to remain on the ruling seat.
