Even if he bombed empty sites, and that actually is what Iran uses a pretense to stay their hand, it still shows you the force anyone in that position is working against when it comes to this issue.

My conspiracy cynical side does tend to think that when you reach these levels of influence and power, they are shown something. Because the way all these people fall in line, is damn near unnatural.

Time will tell, but I think there’s a possibility that this is measured theatrics by Trump. This is not to defend him. It’s not that he is this sane non-violent approach guy…but an egomaniac.

You look at the timeline of everything, starting with Trump’s Middle East tour which skipped over israel (not because he’s anti israeli but is trying to keep normalization alive and is also ego driven because he doesn’t want to be perceived as being Israel’s b****), active negotiations with Iran (I think Trump is aware they’re not close to a nuclear weapon and hence in his mind it’s an easy win to broker an agreement with them that are lower stakes than what he would outwardly proclaim), and Israel’s sudden escalation to throw a monkey wrench in it…bc they’ve been begging for this moment for decades now. I gotta say and this is not in defense of Trump, Bibi and the $100 mill he took from Adelson are raping him and making him look weak to his MAGA base. And that’s all that matters to this guy. That’s why he said negotiations are still open after this very “red line” bombing based on what he’s projecting it as. That’s very telling to me.
