It was originally going to be a mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. I think the idea was that he was going to put it out for free like how mixtapes were back in the day but his label was not going to let him release a free project. He then decided to release as a commercial mixtape of original songs that were mainly produced by 1da. He said he wanted it to be the bridge before views because he had an itch to just make music with 1da but didn’t want it to be looked at as views so that’s why he called it a mixtape.
