Yeezus is undeniably a bigger album than Magna Carta Holy Grail. Yeezus out performed MCHG over the long term. Yeezus has twice as many total streams.

    Yeezus
    Total streams on Spotify: 1,313,879,324
    Daily Streams: 795,755

    MCHG
    Total streams on Spotify: 625,164,582
    Daily Streams: 154,311

In 2022, Yeezus is being streamed about 7x more per day than MCHG

The song holy grail is probably 95% of these streams

    ye come to brazil

btw kanye ranked #6 in a qualitative poll about most liked celebrities in the US by gen z

he's really big w young people and already was w 25-35 crowd

so it was inevitable that he was returning to huge status when finally good music dropped

    Source? This is interesting af

Kanye was always capable of maintaining his status if would’ve focused on his music and not doing bullshit

    I think your wrong!

As just a musician i don’t think he would have the same hold.

As a shoe designer he’s able to enter a conversation that has nothing to do with hip hop or music in general.

As a clothing designer he’s able to enter conversations about charging a ridiculous amount for a blank shirt with no mention of his music... Trump...presidential run...red hat...KUWTK...GAP...Sunday Service...

Still cap considering Ye went plat after 3 years

Album also had seven songs and no physical at release so...

Streaming has definitely made album certifications less meaningful.

I know ye’s a jackass but Hov was not too far from john legend at one point in terms distancing himself from Ye for probably public perception/ political leaning reasons, if you’re doing that with someone you’ve know for like 20 years what the hell do you actually stand for

Jay z does not give a f*** about anybody but himself

pete davidson bout to drop a FIRE 10 mins roasting Ye in his next netflix special

  • The religion thing killed his clout and relevancy and you can tell via the impact JIK had and the records that were dropped near that time period.

But he's always had soooo much to play with. He himself is a huge a rapper, and he knocked up KIM K 4 times and they're going through divorce. That's before you get to the shoes and clothing stuff.

are you actually a pete davidson fan?

He's whatever on SNL but as a stand up he's pretty funny. Especially for a comedian under 30

    Kanye was never irrelevent

Even during the dark ages (2017-2019) he was still making headlines

Stopped for 5 years. Ye and JIK didn’t impact the music world at all really, I was actually a little depressed watching his releases be such niche things. Even the hype on here wasn’t the same

ye release wasnt niche at all. The album just fell flat quality wise and was only 7 tracks like an EP

JIK was more niche i guess but also cause it was gospel
